How To Conduct Front Waterproof Function Test Of COB LED Cabinet

Recently quite a lot of clients are curious about the warterproof function of COB LED cabinet display. Here we make a demo with our indoor P1.25 COB LED cabinet (640X480mm), and the waterproof function of this item is as follows:


To test the front waterproof function (IP54) of a COB LED display cabinet, you can follow these steps:
Make sure that the COB LED display cabinet is powered off and disconnected from any power source.
Clean the cabinet surface to remove any dirt or debris that may interfere with the test.
Prepare a water source and a water-resistant testing device, such as a water spray bottle or a hose with a nozzle attachment.
Position the cabinet in an area where any potential water spills can be easily contained and won't damage any electrical components.
Carefully turn on the water source and adjust the water flow to a gentle spray or a steady stream, depending on the testing device used.
Hold the testing device approximately one meter away from the front face of the COB LED display cabinet.
Start spraying water onto the front surface of the cabinet, ensuring that the water reaches all areas.
Gradually increase the intensity of the water flow, simulating different levels of water splashes.
Maintain the spray for a duration of at least 5 minutes, allowing water to penetrate all areas of the cabinet surface.
After the designated time, carefully inspect the cabinet for any signs of water ingress or moisture.
Check for any visible water droplets or moisture inside the cabinet, particularly on the electrical components and connectors.
If there are no signs of water ingress or moisture, the cabinet has passed the front waterproof function test for IP54.

However, if there are signs of water ingress or moisture, the cabinet may not be adequately waterproofed and should be inspected and repaired by a qualified technician before use.

Please note that IP54 rating indicates a moderate level of protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. It's essential to periodically test and maintain the cabinet's waterproof function to ensure its effectiveness over time.
